Karina began working as a voice artist in 2015. Using the pandemic lockdown as an opportunity, she built her professional recording home studio in 2020. Soon after that, she started working for Spanish companies such as DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico), Renfe, BBVA and Iberia airways. Now she is one of the leading voices on the peninsula’s national and international markets, in both English and Spanish

After graduating in Psychology, Karina focused on acting. She studied a degree in acting for the camera at “Central de Cine” in Madrid. Her growing fascination for film made her move to Barcelona, where she graduated in Film direction and Screenwriting at Bande à Part film school. Throughout her acting career, she continued studying at the “Meisner Conservatory” in Barcelona, “Margie Haber Studio” in Los Angeles and “The Storytellers’ Conservatory”, also in Los Angeles, among others.

Bio

Karina Matas Piper is a bilingual Spanish – North American actress and voice artist with a background in Clinical Psychology and in Film direction and Screenwriting. Native in both languages, she can be seen in international movies like “Rocketry, the Nambi effect” by Madhavan and “Realive” by Mateo Gil. In TV, she can be seen in the AMC production “Soulmates” by Marco Kreuzpaintner and the 360 Powwow production “Los Artistas” by Joaquín Llamas.

Her voice work can be heard in the animation movie “Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds”, and a long list of worldwide commercials including United Colors of Benetton, Coca Cola, Dannon and many others.

She was awarded “Best narrator” at the Golden Reel International Film Festival and at the Best Film Awards for her work in the documentary “The First Outbreak”, directed by Luis Galán.
